THE 35th INTERNATIONAL LITERARY CONFERENCE (KIK) – OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS

These proceedings are the official scholarly output of the 35th International Literary Conference (Konferensi Internasional Kesusastraan, KIK), an annual academic forum organized by the Indonesian Literary Scholars Association (Himpunan Sarjana-Kesusastraan Indonesia, HISKI) in collaboration with HISKI Commissariat of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY).

The 35th KIK carries the main theme “The Dynamics of Comparative Literature: Indonesian Literature as a Citizen of World Literature,” bringing together academics, researchers, literary practitioners, and cultural practitioners to discuss Indonesian literature in dialogue with the literatures and cultures of the world. The conference takes place on Monday–Tuesday, 26–27 October 2026, at the Suryomentaram Building, Faculty of Languages, Arts, and Culture, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. The conference sub-themes are as follows:

The Influence and Reception of Transnational Literature and Culture
Universal Themes and Motifs in Transnational Literature
Imagology in Transnational Literature
Cross-Art and Interdisciplinary Relations of Literature
Comparative Literature in Language and Literature Learning
The conference features keynote and plenary speakers from various national and international institutions, as follows:

All articles published in these proceedings have undergone peer review in accordance with HISKI’s academic standards. The Proceedings of the 35th KIK (2026) are published by the Indonesian Literary Scholars Association (HISKI) in collaboration with HISKI Commissariat of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) as part of a commitment to strengthening the contribution of literary studies to social, cultural, and humanitarian issues.

These proceedings are intended to serve as a scholarly reference for researchers, educators, students, and the wider public interested in comparative literature and the place of Indonesian literature within world literature.

KONFERENSI INTERNASIONAL KESUSASTERAAN KE-34 - PROSIDING RESMI

Prosiding ini merupakan luaran ilmiah resmi dari Konferensi Internasional Kesusasteraan (KIK) ke-34, sebuah forum akademik tahunan yang diselenggarakan oleh Himpunan Sarjana Kesusasteraan Indonesia (HISKI) bekerja sama dengan HISKI Komisariat Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA).

KIK ke-34 mengangkat tema besar “Sastra dan Aktivisme Sosial”, menyatukan para akademisi, peneliti, praktisi sastra, dan pegiat sosial untuk mendiskusikan peran sastra dalam membentuk kesadaran publik serta mendorong perubahan sosial. Konferensi ini berlangsung pada 10–12 Oktober 2025 di Gedung Graha Wiyata, BBPMP Jawa Timur, Surabaya.

Fokus pembahasan meliputi berbagai isu kontemporer seperti:

Sastra sebagai sarana perlawanan dan wacana pascakolonial

Ekosastra dan advokasi lingkungan

Gender, kesetaraan, dan pemberdayaan perempuan

Sastra digital, AI, serta dinamika Generasi Z

Sastra pinggiran dan suara marjinal

Pendidikan sastra dan pembentukan agen perubahan

Solidaritas, spiritualitas, serta kesadaran kolektif dalam karya sastra

Konferensi ini menghadirkan pembicara kunci dari berbagai institusi nasional dan internasional, antara lain perwakilan Badan Pengembangan dan Pembinaan Bahasa, Harvard University, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, University of Melbourne, University of Ljubljana, serta tokoh pendidikan Indonesia.

Semua artikel yang diterbitkan dalam prosiding ini telah melalui proses penilaian sejawat (peer review) sesuai standar akademik HISKI. Prosiding ini diterbitkan oleh Himpunan Sarjana Kesusasteraan Indonesia (HISKI) bekerja sama dengan HISKI UNESA sebagai bagian dari komitmen untuk memperkuat kontribusi kajian sastra dalam isu-isu sosial, budaya, dan kemanusiaan.

Prosiding ini diharapkan menjadi referensi ilmiah bagi para peneliti, pendidik, mahasiswa, serta masyarakat luas yang tertarik pada hubungan erat antara sastra dan aktivisme sosial di era kontemporer.
