This study aims to describe and explain the humanistic values found in the folktale Dua Orang Sakti from the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. This research is a qualitative study using a content analysis approach. The object of the research is the Anthology of Folktales from the Special Region of Yogyakarta published by the Language Center of the National Department of Education, written by Dhanu Priyo Prabowo. Based on the results and discussion of the folktale from the Special Region of Yogyakarta, it can be concluded that the story of “Dua Orang Sakti” contains humanistic values. The identified humanistic values include 3 vales of freedom, 4 values of cooperation, 3 values of self-sacrifice, 4 values of care, 5 values of helping each other (mutual cooperation), and 7 values of solidarity. These values are reflected through the actions of the characters in the story. In the folktale from the Special Region of Yogyakarta, the characters exhibit humanistic attitudes that uphold human dignity and worth.
