Paseng is a part of literary work that contains important advice for human life and living, which contains multicultural values, both explicitly and implicitly. With these values embedded in it, paseng is interesting to study so that it can be useful in universal life relations. Paseng here is associated with the worldview (weltanschauung) of sulapa' eppa'.  Sulapa' eppa' or a square diamond can describe the existence of humans (head, hands, and feet) and can also refer to values, namely the values of lempu, paccing, magetteng, and barani. These four types of values are highly respected by the Bugis people, so that the concept of sulapa' eppa' can become their weltanschauung. The method used to reveal the multicultural values in Paseng Ugi is hermeneutics. Hermeneutics is an approach or method used to understand a message of character values contained in a pappaseng or messages. The Paseng Ugi that will be examined are those sourced from the book LATOA Satu Lukisan Analitis terhadap Antropologi Politik Orang Bugis (LATOA: An Analytical Painting of Bugis Political Anthropology) by Mattulada and from electronic media/the internet. This paper will examine several paseng using a hermeneutic approach. With a hermeneutic approach, it is hoped that the multicultural values contained in pappaseng can be revealed because every paseng created by its creator is believed to have a specific message.
